Jayson Helgesonis based in Los Angeles and has an extensive background in music technology and education. Jayson has taught both instrumental and choral music in Los Angeles County public schools. Most recently he has instructed music industry and technology classes at USC.

His work in the music industry includes management positions at Avid, a world leader in creative media tools (Pro Tools, M-Audio, Sibelius) and Korg, a leading technology and music product manufacturer. For these companies, he was responsible for training, brand awareness, and business development in the Western United States.

Jayson is a well known music technology clinician and has presented his educational research and technology sessions for state and national conferences across the U.S., including California, Colorado, Washington, and Arizona music education conferences and NAMM, ISTE, NSBA T+L, ATMI, ISMF, GMWA, and MSA among others.

As consultant in the field of music and media technology Jayson has provided training to school districts, state agencies, businesses, and universities across the U.S. He has also worked with non-profit organizations geared toward raising national awareness of the value and impact of music and arts education, including Vh1 Save the Music and the Grammy Foundation.

For over a decade, Jayson has been involved with recording and producing music extensively – he has been a featured performer on both record and television, an audio engineer for film and tv, and has recorded two solo guitar CDs of his own.
